The Alliance is the premier youth organizing network in the nation because our work is driven 100 percent by local organizations. When the movement succeeds, it’s because of the local organizations putting in the work. At the end of the day, politics is determined by people power at the local level. That’s why we support the organizations that build it.
Chicago Votes
Chicago Votes is a non-partisan, non-profit organization building a more inclusive democracy by putting power in the hands of young Chicagoans. Chicago Votes engages and develops a new generation of leaders by opening the doors of government and politics to young people from all corners of the city. Chicago Votes is changing laws to make Chicago and Illinois a better place to be young and making democracy FUN.
Engage Miami

Engage Miami is made up of young people intent on fully engaging their generation (and the next) in their local democracy so that they have a future in Miami that is more just, democratic, and sustainable. Engage Miami’s goal is to cultivate a generation of thoughtful citizens who will work to make their community vibrant and participatory, with local government and residents in harmony.
Florida Student Power Network

The Florida Student Power Network was born out of the 2016 Powershift Conference, a gathering of 300+ students in Orlando, Florida to organize intersectional solutions to climate justice. Their mission is to harness the power of students and youth to create tangible change in our communities and our country.
Forward Montana

Forward Montana builds political power with and for young Montanans by driving a culture of civic engagement and electing leaders and passing policies that are representative of the needs and vision of their generation.

Georgia Youth Justice Coalition (GYJC) first formed in January 2021 as a grassroots collective of Black, brown, LGBTQ+, working class, and allied students advocating for youth power and justice in Georgia. GYJC’s model is all about training students on how to tell their stories, build relationships, and advocate for themselves with elected officials, educators, and key decision makers to defend students’ freedom to learn, including the freedom from surveillance, policing, and censorship in the classroom.
Loud Light

Loud Light engages, educates, and empowers individuals from underrepresented populations to build community power that has an impact on decision-makers. Loud Light is transforming Kansas through voter registration, informative videos, coalition building, civic engagement, and turning out the youth vote.
Mississippi Votes

Mississippi Votes is an organization of intergenerational synergy centering and led by young people invested in the progression of Mississippi. We do this through our programming and outreach strategies that empower young people, encourages civic engagement, and educates communities on voting rights through place-based grassroots organizing.
MOVE Texas

MOVE Texas is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, grassroots organization working to build power in underrepresented youth communities through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue advocacy.
Next Up

For over sixteen years, Next Up – formerly The Bus Project – has amplified the voice and leadership of diverse young people to achieve a more just and equitable state. Next Up does this by achieving systems change, developing multicultural, bold leaders, and mobilizing young voters. Next Up’s multi-pronged approach to engaging youth in civics uplifts the voices of historically disenfranchised Oregonians.
New Era Colorado

New Era is the leading voice for young people in Colorado politics and one of the most effective youth civic engagement organizations in the country. New Era works alongside their peers to grow our generation’s power. New Era fights for a better Colorado for everyone, not just for a privileged few. Since day one, New Era set out to bring our progressive and diverse generation into the political world—not to get in line and stick with the status quo, but to take charge and reshape our democracy to work better for everyone.
New Hampshire Youth Movement

The New Hampshire Youth Movement (NHYM) is creating hubs of local leaders who are working under a shared set of values and principles to build collective power in our communities by organizing trainings and actions. These hubs will come together during major days of action and key elections while continually growing in their communities. From town elections to demonstrations, every community has a reason to rise up and the right to fight back. NHYM works to fight the political establishment and create a future for the young people of New Hampshire.

Ohio Student Association (OSA) is a statewide organization led by young people in Ohio, working together in an intergenerational movement for racial, social, economic and educational justice. OSA’s leaders are between 18 and 35, some are not students, some creatives and art activists, others are high school students, college students, graduates, and grad students. They are on campuses and in communities across the state of Ohio. They organize young people in order to build independent political power because The Midwest Got Something To Say!

Youth Civic Accelerator
The Youth Civic Accelerator (YCA) is a 501(c)4 organization that helps launch and grow state-based youth-led chapters to drive political and policy change. YCA’s mission is to build youth-centered civic infrastructure that empowers young people, particularly from historically excluded communities, to create meaningful social and political change in their own communities. We help youth-led efforts move faster, scale smarter, and go deeper than they ever could alone – accelerating impact.
This model allows local organizers to focus on what they do best: building relationships, mobilizing their peers, and leading bold campaigns that protect democracy, advance justice, and deliver real wins for their communities.
